About Our School

St. Raphaela’s is a Catholic secondary school under the patronage of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We have approximately 400 students who study a wide curriculum and their academic achievement is valued and supported. The development of the whole person is central to our ethos. Students are encouraged to be the best they can be in all areas of their lives. Sport, Music and a myriad of extra-curricular activities are central to the life of the school.

Our school could not operate without our dedicated and talented staff, and you will see evidence of their work throughout this site. We are also fortunate to have a strong Student Council who are clear sighted and hard working in striving to make St. Raphaela’s a school where everyone’s talents are valued and where everyone has an opportunity to experience success.

If you have visited the school for Open Days or Information Evenings you will have met members of our Parents’ Association who are always happy to talk to visitors about their experiences of the school, and who are a great support to the school, not just in the area of fundraising, but also in areas such as policy development and school planning. The Parents’ Association, in conjunction with the Board of Management have just completed a survey of parents with a view to long term planning in the school, and the results of this survey will be conveyed to parents at a parents’ evening.

I hope you will take a few minutes to look at our website, and I am sure you will find something of interest to you. If you would like to visit our school in reality, please contact Carole, our school secretary, for an appointment. We would be delighted to show you around!
